Vista IT Solutions is seeking skilled Information Technology Support Specialist to join our team at Cheshire, CT office. We are looking for someone, who enjoys working with a people, fast learner and can make an immediate contribution to our organization.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

The qualified candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of network architecture including but not limited to Networking, Infrastructure/Applications Support, Servers and Desktop Administration, Active Directory, Office 365, Virtualization VMware, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, VoIP, Infrastructure Deployment and Management, VoIP phone system implementation, and administration.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Client hardware and software support, new system setup and configuration, network connectivity, and scheduled on-call duties.
  • Provide network, application, phone system, and desktop support to user environment.
  • Recommendations to management about needed improvements, upgrades, new products and projects. Also other duties and projects will be assigned by management personnel.
  • Manage network security equipment and software, e.g., firewall (SonicWALL), anti-virus and intrusion detection systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, solve and document network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Install, Configure, Manage and support Server Infrastructure(Both Physical and Virtual (VMWare/Microsoft) Servers, Firewall, Switches, WI-FI, IP Telephony and more.
  • Monitor network performance and optimize the network for optimal speed and availability.
  • Deploy, configure and upgrade network software, such as, enterprise antivirus or diagnostics programs.
  • Implement and maintain emergency backup and restore systems for mission-critical network servers.
  • Open to learning new technologies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or above in Computer Science or relevant experience in Information Technology Preferred

  • 1 to 2 years experience in networking, systems and infrastructure administration.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in supporting desktops and laptops.
  • 1 to 2 years supporting VoIP and Phone system.
  • Must have proficiency in the technologies like Firewall, Switching Concepts, Cisco/SonicWALL, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, Office 365, IP Telephony.
  • Require excellent experience in systems administration, LAN & WAN installation & configuration, routing & switching, and network security.
  • Hands on experience in configuring, deploying, troubleshooting all the active networks and Network Issues is preferred.
  • Require excellent English communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, well organized, and detail-oriented.

Certifications a Plus:

  • Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications (CCNP/CCNA/Other), A+, CompTIA, N+, other recognized industry certifications.
